Germans to America History and Genealogy Programs

place Zelienople Library 227 S. High Street Zelienople, Pennsylvania 16063 expand_more

The Zelie Library is partnering with the Zelienople Historical Society to have Bob Stakeley of the Heinz History Center and Pam Israel from "Unlock Your History" come to the library to do a program on German immigration to America on Friday September 27.   Highlights will be how to use your family documents and objects to learn more about your ancestors and how to decipher them.  They will also talk about preserving your items for future generations.  You are invited to bring a family item to share during the "show and tell" portion of the program.  The program starts at the Library and then the provided lunch will be at the historical society followed by tours of the Passavant House and Buhl House. If you would like to attend when you RSVP let us know if you plan to come for the talk, lunch and tours or only a portion of the event. It is a free event, but donations would be accepted and appreciated if you find it worthwhile. We have limited space, so make your RSVP as soon as you can.
