The combination of Zelienople Area Public Library (ZAPL), the Butler County Federated Library System, and the State of Pennsylvania’s Office of Commonwealth Libraries offer plenty of digital resources to our community.
Scroll down to browse all that what we have to offer or select one of the following links in the table below for in-depth information on specific eResources:
ebooks, audiobooks, other digital media lending platforms
OverDrive and its sister app Libby. Both access the same, and vast, collection of ebooks and audiobooks. This collection can be found at https://lamb.overdrive.com/
Flipster is a digital magazine lending platform with popular titles galore. Hoopla’s collection contains just about every type of digital media out there, notably music.
online library catalogs
Search, browse, borrow, renew, hold, and more with the online library catalog. A version for kids is also available from the catalog itself: http://bcfls.tlcdelivers.com/.
educational & professional resources
ZAPL and its partners team up to bring the community these educational resources. Whether it’s school, for fun, or further professional development, there’s likely something here for everybody. Note: Tumble Book Library requires a name and password credential that can be found our Childrens Services & Resources page.
Those interested in our online resources for the youth should also check out our Childrens Services & Resources page as well as our Teens Services & Resources page.
The Zelienople Area Public Library has a multitude of genealogy resources at your service. So much so that it needs its own webpage to list them all. That page can be found here: https://zelienoplelibrary.org/genealogy/
To paint a quick picture of offerings however, it’s good to know that ZAPL provides access to Ancestry.com Library Edition, has a Genealogy club that meets monthly, and that we work with many local partners like the Zelienople Historical Society and Historic Harmony, Inc. to bring the community a vast resource bank for those exploring history and family histories.

library eResource guides
Zelienople Area Public Library has put together a few types of instructional guides for using particular eResources, like ebooks and digital audiobooks.
ZAPL also has a YouTube channel. There, you’ll find video demonstrations on how to use library eResources. Our channel can be found here.
free or open-access eResources
One great aspect of the internet, and one that is thankfully growing, is the ideal of providing free information and resources for the good of society. We’ve curated these sources among the many for ZAPL patrons.
Note: some resources are free but require your library card.
Zelienople Area Public Library has put together a compendium of websites for local and municipal authorities, but also including state and federal organizations.
